Dem-Master Demolition Ltd. have extensive experience in diverse Demolition projects including large scale City Centre developments.

During the course of 2017 - 2018 the Company had its most successful year continuing to win and complete high profile, challenging Demolition projects.  In our opinion, the sheer determination in sustaining a high quality Demolition service in a combination of highly skilled projects running concurrently and still maintaining high customer satisfaction makes it worthy of note.

In combination the involvement in the following projects in particular has proven that we have developed and grown in both ability and experience to a level this year that is something to be proud of.

• Glasgow Queen Street Station
• St James Quarter, Edinburgh
• Western Infirmary Redevelopment, Glasgow

Glasgow Queen Street Station - Dem-Master were appointed for this iconic station Demolition.  As a team we had to work to an extremely challenging integrated programme which involved working above and around the busy train station in Glasgow city centre which had circa 47,000 people access and egress daily.  Clearly Health and Safety with massive public interface is a priority here and we maintained our standards as always at Dem-Master and shone through on this high profile and very public contract.  A lot of the building required deconstruction and full-access scaffold, shrink wrapped to minimise dust and debris migration.  Managing all aspects such as the safety of the public and our people along with noise, dust and vibration, Dem-Master have yet again proven that we have health and safety as our main priority along with client satisfaction and value for money.

St James Quarter, Edinburgh – Again we were appointed for the Demolition of 2 Multi storey Car Parks, the complex of Multi storey former Government Offices, the lower multi-level Shopping Centre, Hotel and Leith Walk Pedestrian Bridge. This was a unique combination of hand divorce, deconstruct, machine and specialist Ultra High Reach machine work over a range of varying constructions. Similar to the GQSS project we had huge public interface and enhanced technical issues of design and installation of complex temporary works here which made this project different.

Former Western Infirmary, Glasgow – This project is again similar to the St James Quarter with an extensive former Hospital site using the combination of technical Demolition systems and processes.  It also involved complex asbestos removal, both high reach and Ultra high Reach machines working in combination on the landmark main ward Block.  The buildings selected for Phase 1 meant that there was a demand for careful divorcing and deconstruction in preparing the other buildings for machine Demolition.  We are now progressing through Phase 2 of the Demolition works towards this redevelopment project.
