#MentalHealth

We are sending these new posters provided by the #NFDC to our site teams to further encourage our people to #SpeakUp if they are struggling with their Mental Health.

There are many types of Mental Health issues; an issue can happen suddenly, because of a specific event in someone’s life, or it can build up gradually over time.  We understand that it can be hard for people to Speak Up but recent times have highlighted the difference having a chat can have.

There is no embarrassment in Speaking Up.  There is no weakness in Speaking Up.  There is no shame in Speaking Up.

The wellbeing of our staff is very important to us; your work family is a big part of your life.  We aim to create a comfortable working environment for everyone. Most people will know what it feels like to ‘put on a front’ when you are at work whilst battling with an issue in your head.

Dem-Master Demolition and Total Recycling Scotland are taking more steps ensure our employees have the opportunities to talk about any issues they may be facing. The pandemic has delayed various things up and down the country including training courses but our training team is arranging Mental Health awareness training days which will help our teams recognise when one of their co-workers may be struggling or in need of a chat.
