Demolition works were carried out whilst Prestwick Airport was in full operation

Spirit Aerosystems, Monkton, (Prestwick Airport) - Buildings 38A, 59 & 84A

Dem-Master were appointed for Demolition and Site Clearance works at Buildings 38a, 59 & 84a, Spirit Industrial Site, Prestwick Airport, Prestwick.

These buildings were Demolished over 2 phases.

The project involved the Demolition and Site Clearance of 3 no. buildings within the Industrial Site.

Working within Prestwick airport, cognisance of the air traffic was a priority.  Extensive protection measures were implemented as always on our Demolition site due to the close proximity of the airport.

The works included:

  • Site Fencing
  • Removal of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s)
  • Soft Strip
  • Machine Demolition of superstructures
  • Excavation of under-build and foundations to 1.00m below adjacent ground levels
  • Disposal of all Demolition material in accordance with current legislation and good practice
  • Demobilise
